The Expedition is made with light sand coloured canvas, so that the tent stays cooler once the sun comes up.
A high density mattress ensures a good night's sleep.
Windows on all four sides provide a good flow of air, whilst the fly mesh ensures insects remain outside, and the window shades keep out the sun's rays. 
All windows are also fully closeable and sand tight, in case the wind comes up, or it gets chilly. 
The fourth window is situated in the porch area and is therefore protected in the event of heavy rain or strong wind.   
The Expedition Size tent has an overhang allowing access to the tent from a dry and shady area.  Items may be stored in the porch area out of the sun and rain. 
A fly sheet covering the whole of the tent ensures protection from rain storms.  
Convenient internal pockets allow you to store torches, keys and phones inside the tent close to hand. 
The light weight aluminium core base saves kilos over the standard plywood construction often used. 
The tent comes with mountings allowing the tent to be fixed either to cross bars or a roof rack.  Mount the tent with the ladder positioned to the side or rear of the car.   
The tent material is waterproof and rot proof.

This package comes with the Expedition Size Desert Edition tent skirt, so the fourth window may remain open for extra ventilation from the porch, without the hazard of insects, rain or sand coming into the sleeping area.  The tent skirt also makes a great changing and shower area, and has a zip-in rubber floor, making it a completely sealed area.  It also has large mesh windows on both sides and the option of opening the rear for access to the vehicle doors.
